About Jason Tako:

I was raised in rural Minnesota. This had a profound impact on me and peaked my interest in nature and a simpler way of life. I have been drawing for about 10 years and painting for 5 years. Primarily self-taught I find my inspiration in nature and in my family and express that inspiration in oil paint. Using a more muted palette I love to show texture and a variety of edges when I paint. My work is represented by South Street Gallery in Easton, Maryland, and Gallery 30 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I also exhibit on an annual basis at the Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland and the Southeastern Wildlife Expo in Charleston, South Carolina. “Art is born when the temporary touches the eternal” _GK Chesterton.
