About Connie Tom:

I have painted in oils for over 30 years. I love the country and nature in the wild. Autumn is my favorite season. I live in the midwest. The Hudson River School artists who lived in the 1800's have been a big influence on my art. I have done many intense studies on their work. As with them, color, light, mood and atmosphere are main elements to achieve in my paintings. I strive for luminosity in my paintings. However, I am a born again Christian and attribute that it is the time first thing each morning that I spend reading the Bible that guides my spirit and my brush when I paint.
