About Tilly Strauss:

I am an artist living on a farm upstate NY. I teach private lessons and workshops through out the year and am fortunate enough to be able to paint every day. My subjects range from the animals on the farm I live, to domestic still life, to flights of traveling fancy. I paint on a range of media such as my own homemade paper, sewn together travel detritus, primed canvas, fiberglass cows and found wood. At the age of five I attended my mothers International Art School in Kuala Lumpur. My favorite gift has always been art or office supplies. When I was in my early twenties I graduated with BA and BFA from Colorado university in Boulder. Since then I have both kept traveling and settled down. My sons, husband, father-in-law, and parents keep me grounded. My many sisters remind me, and invite me, out to play.
