I'm a full time artist, selling my paintings at art festivals and fairs. My work is also in several galleries across the country. My technique is usually to paint off the top of my head and let the painting evolve as I go. But occasionally I will get an idea for a painting that I need to block out, although I rarely pre-draw the whole thing.
